Proactive maintenance programs and improvements for your District’s facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are key components of our capital planning strategy. Taking a proactive approach allows the District to identify potential problems and develop long-term cost-effective solutions before minor problems become a crisis.

Below is a list of improvements currently in progress that will help the District provide the best possible service to our residents.

Centrifuge Upgrade at Sewer Treatment Plant No. 1

  • Project awarded to C3 Contractors 
  • Project includes new conveyors, new piping for centrifuge and new controls 
  • Estimated completion by end of May 

Water Well No. 3 Control Room Upgrade

  • Project awarded to Brandt Contractors 
  • Project includes installation of weather head with all new wiring 
  • Estimated completion by end of November 

New Hydro pneumatic Tank at Water Well No. 3

  • Project awarded to Gilleland Smith Contractors 
  • Estimated completion by September 2023 

Manhole Repairs and Coating

  • Project awarded to CDC Contractors 
  • Project consists of repairing manholes in Orchard Lakes Estates, Old Orchard Development, Chelsea Harbour, and Oak Lake Court 
  • Estimated completion June

Control Panel Replacement at Lift Station No. 9

  • Project was awarded to Hahn Contractors. 
  • Project was completed in May.  

Full Length Skimmer Arm Upgrade for Clarifiers at Sewer Treatment Plant No. 2

  • Project awarded to Elite Pumps 
  • Estimated completion by July. 

Water Well No. 2 Well Head Upgrade

  • Project awarded to C&C  
  • Project includes new well motor, well piping, and well pump 
  • Estimated completion June 

Sewer Treatment Plant No. 2 Headworks Upgrade

  • Project awarded to Gilleland and Smith Construction 
  • Estimated completion December 

Replacement of Generator at Lift Station No. 5

  • Project awarded to Worldwide Power Products 
  • Estimated completion October 

Aeration upgrade to chlorine contact chamber at Sewer Treatment Plant No. 2

  • Project awarded to Gilleland and Smith 
  • Estimated completion June 

Sewer Treatment Plant No. 1 and 2 Improvements

  • Project includes installation of new blowers at both facilities, new motor control center (MCC), digester sludge transfer system at Sewer Treatment Plant No. 1. New aeration diffuser system upgrade at Sewer Treatment Plant No. 2. 
  • Project has been advertised and bids will be opened on May 24th. 

Chlorine Room Improvements to Water Wells and Sewer Treatment Plants

  • Project has been advertised and bids will be opened on May 31st 

Sewer Main Repairs

  • Project awarded to IPR Contractors 
  • Currently making sewer main repairs at Orchard Lakes Estates 

Generator Upgrade Program

  • Generators will be replaced at Water Well No. 1, Water Well No. 2, and Lift Stations No. 1, 3, and 4. 
  • Project has been awarded to McDonald Contractors
