A new hydropneumatic tank (HPT) has been installed, and the control room has been upgraded at the District’s water well at FM 1464 and Owens Road.
The HPT will help improve water flow and maintain consistent system pressure. This upgrade is essential for ensuring steady water pressure, reducing pump cycling, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the water system. The tank also helps prevent pressure fluctuations that can damage pipes and household appliances.
The control room updates include upgraded wiring, a new automatic transfer switch (ATS), a modern motor control center (MCC) panel, and a main breaker. Additionally, a new booster pump was installed to assist during emergency situations.
Together, these improvements provide a more reliable water supply for the community. Furthermore, the upgraded infrastructure supports long-term sustainability and meets current safety standards.
